PREABS displays the crystal habit wrt the diffractometer orientation
PREABS is used to model a crystal's shape as a
precursor step before the calculation of absorption corrections
using ABSORB, or the refinement of path-length dependent extinction
corrections using CRYLSQ, CRILSQ or LSLS. A screen image of the
crystal model may be compared with the real crystal viewed through
the microscope of different diffractometer types. The
diffractometer viewpoint and circle angles are adjustable by
clicking and dragging.
